Company History
CO-AX was founded in 1993 with just ten employees in a 2,500 sq. ft. facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.
In 1999, we moved to a nearby 22,000 sq. ft. building, added 40 more employees, and began SMT PCBA production. Less than ten years later, we were operating from four buildings and had more than 120 employees.
In response to continued growth, we began construction on our new 114,000 sq. ft. headquarters and manufacturing plant in Solon, Ohio, in 2014. It was there that we added a dedicated NPI line and grew to 170 employees.
By 2020, we implemented full process control for all manufacturing operations by adding four automatic SMT lines and 40 more employees.
In 2021, we installed our fifth SMT line and implemented component traceability.
As we grow alongside our customers, we anticipate adding another 60,000 sq. ft. to our facility soon.
